Doug Matayo has never supported a tax increase and he knows that tax hikes are the last thing American families need. Doug supports the FAIR TAX and wants to abolish the income tax. He wants to get the federal government out of the business of choosing winners and losers. He understands that out-of-control government spending leads to tax increases and that is why Doug Matayo is not afraid to cut spending and slow the growth of government. He proved that in the Arkansas Legislature. He advocates STOPPING spending from the stimulus spending today. It has already put America deeply into debt we cannot afford. He is for returning the federal budget back to a freeze at the 2008 level until we can catch up.

Doug Matayo is strongly pro-life and pro-family. Doug’s Christian values have guided his decisions as a businessman and in public service. In the Arkansas Legislature Doug fought the Democrats to protect the unborn. Doug supports a prayer in schools and supports a constitutional amendment to protect the unborn. Doug Matayo strongly opposes same sex marriages.
Stop Illegal Immigration
Doug Matayo passed legislation in the Arkansas Legislature to prevent illegal aliens from getting drivers license. In the U.S Congress, Doug wants to require that employers verify the citizenship documents of their employees before hiring them. Currently the system is voluntary and most employers ignore it. Doug will work with state and local governments to see that immigration laws are enforced and not ignored.
Obama Health Care Bill
Doug Matayo Opposes the Obama Health care bill. It is a raid on Medicare to pay for a huge new government program. As with all government programs, when the final bill is in, it will be much higher than Americans were led to believe. America has the best health care in the world and this legislation threatens it. It must be fought in the courts, fought in the state legislatures and repealed in Congress.
National Defense
Doug Matayo is a strong supporter of America’s military. America must continue to be the light of freedom for the world. Terrorist will continue to challenge America but now they are on the run and in hiding. Their efforts to attack America again have failed up until now. But we must keep our resolve and remember, respect and support those who have risked or even lost their lives to keep us safe. Doug Matayo will keep those Americans in mind as he considers our national defense.
